Steven Zynszajn is the Founder and Director of Elegant Century Art in New York. A Franco-American citizen raised in a family of art connoisseurs, he spent his formative years in the Paris neighborhood of Montparnasse, retracing the illustrious footsteps of Picasso and Modigliani. Initially trained as a violinist, he was sensitive to the close ties linking the French Impressionists and modernists to their musical and literary counterparts. Music lessons in the Bernheim home further accentuated the notion of art and music as a common sensibility.
Following studies at the Juilliard School and La Sorbonne, Steven delved into the business of art, establishing Elegant Century Art with Gregory Singer in 2012. Subsequently, he perfected his expertise in art law and finance with the Christie's art program.
Elegant Century Art, Inc. was founded as an advisory which provides guidance in the sale and acquisition of Impressionist and modern masterworks. Having expanded to the postwar era to include abstract expressionism, Elegant Century Art's range now encompasses the century period from 1870 to the 1980s.
With an emphasis on museum quality works, Elegant Century Art under the direction of Steven Zynszajn is sought after by collectors from the Forbes 400 and Artnet Top 100 list, business leaders in Asia, and prominent European institutions.
Steven has served as consultant to leading auction houses in the United States and Asia, and his keen eye led to the discovery of a masterpiece by Konstantin Korovin, the father of Russian Impressionism. In his spare time, he is devoted to perfecting his piano playing.
